Eye spy...something I love about my suburb

Ellieboo has really given me some food for thought with this week's 'Eye Spy' theme. You see, on January 2, 2008 I made the trek north from Melbourne to Sydney to live. My boyfriend had chosen the suburb that we were to live in and found us an apartment. I have now been living here for 18 months and I have to say, I love it!

Michael often jokes that I should get a t-shirt made up. Let's pretend that this is a photo of me and I have hair this nice. How fun!

What I love about my suburb is that it is like a little village. There are some nice little cafes, some yummy restaurants, a pretty good oppy, a strange 24hr convenience store (where the Diet Cokes are 99c), an awesome butcher, a little greengrocer and the people at the Post Office know my name! I love the small suburb feel of it, but it's only about 20 minutes away from Sydney city and 20 minutes in the other direction to the beach. It's the best of both worlds!

I do miss my old suburb though...I still go to visit, but it's not quite the same since I don't live there anymore. Even though I spent 25 years living there. If you head over to Amityville, maybe she will talk about what she loves about that suburb. Who knows?
